The Kudzu bug is a small bug that eats Kudzu. This brings cheer to many in the southeast United States. However, it also eats soybeans.
The University of Georgia first identified the bug in 2009. The bug originates in Asia. It prefers kudzu but will also eat legumes such as soybeans. The University of Georgia issued an Impact Statement in 2010.
