The second edition of the Global Compendium of Weeds has been released. The Compendium represents a hugely ambitious undertaking led by Rod Randall of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia. The Compendium includes 33,738 weeds. If it is printed as a PDF that amounts to 1,115 pages! Access to the database is completely free.
The website is a collaborative venture between AgWest (data & weed expertise) and the Hawaiian Ecosystems at Risk project (HEAR) (database consultation & website management).
