California Invasive Plant Council Issues Best Management Practices Guides for Preventing the Spread of Terrestrial Invasive Plants

The California Invasive Plant Council has published two manuals on preventing the spread of terrestrial invasive plants: one for land managers and the other for transportation and utility corridor operators. The manuals establish best management practices (BMPs) for preventing the accidental spread of terrestrial invasive plants in California. The manuals resulted from a collaboration of the Council’s technical advisory teams including representatives from local, state and federal agencies, utilities, land trusts, and university extension.  The manuals are available at the California Invasive Plant Council website.
